THE PITCH
Pro Manchester, Innospace and Creative Manchester have teamed up with Peter Rush – “The Pitch Doctor” – to create an exciting opportunity for small digital companies to radically improve their pitching skills and turbo boost their win rate. Participation is free for any company under 10 employees – not only will you be able to learn the art of pitching from an expert but you could also be in the running to win a valuable package of accountancy or legal support for the next year.
THE PITCH DOCTOR
Over the last 25 years, Peter Rush has an unrivalled record of success in helping high-profile clients in the UK and abroad to win pitches in a whole range of business sectors. In Australia he helped Igloo, a Melbourne based digital agency, treble in size and shoot up the rankings, winning clients like Mazda and Jamie Oliver's Oz version of 15. Peter is making this expertise available to Manchester’s digital companies through a series of events culminating in a live “pitch off” competition. For more information see
THE PROCESS
Boot Camp 1 - full day - Tuesday May 25th 2010
A highly participative session for up to 50 businesses. Peter Rush will identify what you must get right, how to transform your pitch thinking and walk you through some key pitching skills today's market requires. Expect this to be fun and to challenge your current thinking. At the end of the boot camp we’ll select 12 companies to progress to Boot Camp 2.
Boot Camp 2 - half day Tuesday June 29th 2010
Here the selected companies will have the opportunity to work with the Pitch Doctor on a one-to-one basis – developing skills specific to their business. He’ll chose the top six companies to go forward to the Live Pitch Competition
Live Pitch Competition - half day Weds September 29th 2010
The Pitch Doctor will support companies to develop a five minute pitch, judged by a panel from the Pro Manchester membership.
THE PRIZE
The winning company will receive a package of business support tailored to their needs from some of Manchester’s top professional companies. This could include help to patent a product, develop a business plan in preparation for venture capital investment or anything else you need to take your business to the next level.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Managing Directors, Creative Directors or Marketing Directors of digital, PR and advertising agencies, independent TV producers or web development companies – in fact anybody who has to present creative ideas to clients will find this an essential way of developing their effectiveness. Any North West company that has been trading for less than four years with up to 10 employees is eligible to attend – although spaces are limited so no more than 2 people from each company can attend.

Boot camp sessions will take place at Innospace 2nd Floor Minshull House Chorlton Street Manchester M1 3FY. Venue for the live pitch competition will be announced at Boot Camp 2.
